I have handled over 25,000 criminal and civil cases since 1979. The cases have ranged from death penalty cases to every imaginable felony and misdemeanor. I have investigated crimes of high technology to complex theft to simple battery. I have also dealt closely with civil rights matters such as police abuse and misconduct matters and civil torts of all types, from construction defects to car accidents. I have been involved with every aspect of case preparation from the arraignment to the organization and analysis of the discovery to expert witness selection and coordination and onto the presentation of the trial. I have planned and orchestrated investigations with multiple defendants, testified approximately fifty times as a private investigator, including in the capacity as an expert for investigative procedures, as well as to evidence that I have either uncovered or preserved. It is my responsibility to locate and interview victims, witnesses, experts, and police officers, prepare reports and witnesses for trial and provide trial testimony as well as expert testimony when necessary.
I have conducted extensive and in depth investigations traveling to all corners of the United States. I have been qualified by both Federal Court and State of California Courts as an expert in the field of criminal investigation and have testified in that capacity. I have consulted as an expert commentator on national news and television programs providing an insight into the defense prospective of criminal defense strategies and investigations for cases with national notoriety. I have lectured on criminal defense investigative techniques and prepared presentations used to teach and instruct organizations and in college criminal justice courses. In addition, as of 2016, I have been qualified and acknowledged by the State of California Superior Courts as an expert in cell towers.
