Jaimee Harris is a Texas-born singer songwriter whose 2018 release "Red Rescue" was widely heralded as the best new artist CD of the year.  Jaimee and Barry chat about guitars (he doesn't play; she of course does) and their love of rollercoasters.  Some serious conversation happens as Jaimee discusses her addiction challenges and the way the law enforcement and healthcare systems deal (or more accurately, fail to deal) with these medical challenges.

Listen to several of Jaimee's stunning songs from the album in the segment. You'll hear why many call her "the next Emmylou Harris".  You may notice that Jaimee is a big fan of red-tinted glasses.  Find out why during the show as well.

Professor Jay Wexler of the Boston University School of Law has written several books about the intersection of law and religion.  He joins Barry to discuss his latest one,
"Our Non-Christian Nation".  It is a clever examination of how Wiccans, atheists, and even Satanists have advanced the cause of religious freedom.

Jay and Barry examine controversies like funding of religious schools, afterschool religious activities, public religious displays and prayers before government meetings.  The bottom line: if a group can't stop a practice like Christian invocations before a city council meeting, maybe it can make a point by insisting that its religious or philosophical viewpoint needs to be included also.
