1. Dr. Anissa McNeil was a former foster youth and began to volunteer as a Court Appointed Advocate (CASA) for foster youth at the age of 19. She has continued to volunteer, served as a board member for CASA of Los Angeles, served as a committee member of Glamour Gowns & Suit Up ( providing prom dresses and suits to over 500 foster youth annually) and currently serves as the Co-Chair for Glamour Gowns & Suit Up.  Dr. McNeil has volunteered, advocated for, and served foster youth for decades.  She has dedicated her life to making the lives of foster youth better!

Dr. McNeil began her educational career in Head Start and went on to receive a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University.  Hard work and education has helped to change her life.  Dr. McNeil is very passionate about education and working with organizations to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn and achieve their full potential. Dr. McNeil believes that “Education Works”.

Dr. Anissa McNeil is the founder and CEO of Education Works Consulting Services. The organization provides consultancy services to public, non-profit, for profit, and private organizations that focus on the helping foster children.  This year, Education Works began to provide foster youth education services to improve the education outcomes for foster youth in California.  Dr. McNeil says, "Let Education Work for You”!

The Foster 2 Foster radio outreach will focus on the organization's "Foster Youth Education Services"  a program dedicated to closing the gap between the courthouse and the education system to provide education services to families, guardians, caregivers, and school districts.
